Scientists working at a British laboratory have achieved one of the most controversial breakthroughs ever made in the field of stem cell science by taking cells from dead embryos and turning them into living tissue.The technique could soon be used to create treatments for patients suffering from diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

SSShhhhhhh! Don't tell the religious right Bushite fanatics about this. They'll pass a bill making it illegal......with a rider to raise the deficit to 20 trillion so they can finance the invasion of Iran in the name of God! ...And charge it to our grandchildren like they're doing in Iraq!

It amazes me that Bush cannot legalize the whole stem cell research thing, but can send over and kill almost 3,000 men and women for a cause I am still trying to figure out. I still don't think we are any safer now than we were before, but the difference now is that there are thousands of mothers grieving for their lost children. I will respect the president, congress and the senate when they start sending their children over there.

I think this is a great break through. This may be just what we have been looking for to cure some horrible diseases. I agree with Bush on his war on terror, but I disagree with him on this issue. Maybe he'll come around after knowing that the embryos that are being used are dead. Have a great day everyone! ;)
