I was fascinated by the visual user interface used in the movie Minority Report. Is now seems that Perceptive Pixel has made a fully functional working technology for this kind of user interface.

      Cool technology but this is not new stuff. Apple's iPhone uses the same technology. This article I saw a while ago when there were rumors about the iPhone on (www.macrumors.com) and its believed that apple bought the rights to use that technology from Jeff Han. It's not the OS that they are demonstrating, it's the multi touch recognition software. It's really hard to get a program to recognize two individual touch points, then have the program recognize where they are both moving and associate that with a predefined task, and still leaving enough processing power not to slow everything else down. Thats what the video is trying to convey here.

        Awesome! Anyone ever hear the old expression "Hollywood is not far from reality"? Many things shown in Sci-Fi thrillers are in actual testing.
