Posted by: charbarred 1 year, 5 months agoScientists have created the world's first human-sheep chimera - which has the body of a sheep and half-human organs. The article sounds a bit sensational. Humans have been monkeying about with animals for some time now and though this on the extreme end I doubt it will bring about the collapse of civilization as some comments on the post suggest.
Ask yourself this. Your child is dying from liver failure, their eyes and skin are a sickening yellow, they're on saline IV because they're so nauseated they can't even keep water down, so weak they can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time. Their only hope is a liver transplant. Do you go with the genetically modified sheep liver, or stand there and watch your child die because man wasn't meant to fiddle about like that?

i wonder where the sources are on this; because; 8 August 2006, " The lambs that were born are now living and functioning well with organs that are about 10 percent.. http://www.redorbit.com/news/health/606401/stem_ce
but this article says; "He has already created a sheep liver which has a large proportion of human cells" even if the article is correct saying "15 per cent " that's not a large proportion.... and I'm not a scientist but how do they come up with these percentages..
