So pretty much everything else you can think of (including getting hit by an asteroid/comet) is many times more likely than dying from this. Having the US government spend millions of dollars to destroy a billion-dollar failure to save zero lives is comedic gold.

    They had FEMA hazmat teams running around here in Hawaii after the shootdown (just in case) ..and a bunch of fear-mongering hype all over the local news. What a bunch of propaganda. Russians were right on the money. This was a test of missile capability.

    No one believes the U.S. military anymore anyway when they say they are doing something 'for the good of mankind'.

      Completely agreed. As soon as I heard that the US was going to shoot down this satellite the first thing that went through my head was the someone decided that the US should show China that we can take out satellites too.
