    No, the US needs to find other sources. Corn for ethanol is already convincing farmers to change from food source crops to ethanol crops, plus the consumption of drinking water to make the ethanol. What happens when the farmers no long grow; corn, wheat, soybeans, potatoes,.....etc.?

    Humans can live without ethanol, they can't live without food.

    We need to "be careful what we wish for"!

      Ethanol would be fine if they switched from using corn to switch grass, something not a food crop. Of course, we know that Bush wants to use corn to help out the farmers.

      People also need to realize that corn is a very high-maintenance crop. It needs, just one example, a lot of fertilizer. And how is that made? Yep, petroleum.

        YUeah, right, it's always about Bush LOL. Get a grip on reality: Dems run Congress, and farmers have had a stranglehold on Congress for at least 100 years.
