The world needs to invest $45 trillion in energy in coming decades, build some 1,400 nuclear power plants and vastly expand wind power in order to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, according to an energy study released Friday.

    And if we don't invest it?....

    I'd like to know more about this study. What was the methedology? Who funded it? I'm suspicious of nuclear power pushed as the only and immediate solution.

      Did you even read the summary? Nuclear Power IS NOT pushed as the only solution! However, it IS and inevitably WILL BE the cornerstone of the solution.

      Furthermore, hardcore Greens are pushing for nuclear fission power as a major part of the answer to the Global Warming/Sustainable Industrial Economy question
