don't worry - with 6,000 lightening strikes in Northern California we are putting enough smoke in the air to dim the sun over a large area.

Ive got the solution: vote repubican to drill more, more cheap oil, burn more cheap gas, burn more coal, burn more fossil fuel, let big oil write energy policy, drill more, increase supply, reduce price, drill more, burn more, increase CO2 concentration, build more coal burning plants in America, China, India, Indonesia, increase CO2, deregulate car standards, increase amount of cheap gas, build more suburbs with enormous square footage as far as possible from cities, city planning by real estate speculators and mogals, give the rich tax cuts, let the rich write tax law, let the mortgage speculators write financial regulatory law.
Vote republican, increase CO2, deny CO2 concentration matters, burn more oil, coal, vote republican.
Vote republican, because objectivity and science are "liberal".
Vote repuiblican, and to hell with your children who will inherit the planet. vote republican, becauce its it the rich who should determine if your children live or die.

Let the american car companies determine fuel standards for automobiles, let the car companies write public transportation policy.
Let the oil and car companies determine public transportation policy.
Vote republican, let the for profit corporations determine what is best for the country.
should we have a train based mass transit system in america? vote republican, let the billionaires kill that idea. Let the car companies kill that idea.
Vote republican, vote to kill the 9% of the labor force which is still unionized. Vote to trust the copporate billionaires provide us a living wage, with a family frendly working hours. They have our families in mind when they move work to overpopulated 3rd world no pollution standard countries with no health care.
Vote republican, to let the insurance industry billionaires determine your level of health care. 50% of all health care costs should go the the insurance administrators. Vote republican!

What a rant. It looks like all you have to do is kill all the Republicans, rich people (except Soros), oil & car co. execs and everything is OK. I know all kinds of Dems (not rich) who ride around in SUV's and have huge power bills like Gore whose bill is 100 times the average home. I am a conservative Republican and a scientist and I am a little kinder to those who espouse alternative energy and conservation because that's what I believe in too. What I don't believe in is blaming and insulting one group/party for everything. I hope I'm spared by anti when his lib gestapo/SS comes around to my house. Vote Democrat and get a clueless president!!

The observation that the low cloud cover decreases as the cosmic ray rate decreased at the 11 year peak in the solar activity (sun spot maximum) in 1990 led the 2 groups to propose that ionization from cosmic rays is responsible for the production of clouds i.e. less ionization leads to less cloud and vice versa. The rate at which cosmic rays fall on the Earth has been observed to decrease over the past century. So, if cosmic rays produce clouds and there are now fewer cosmic rays we will have less cloud cover than we once had, allowing more of the sun's heat to penetrate to the Earth's surface to produce the observed global warming. If the proposal is true, it implies that we are wasting our time cutting greenhouse gas emissions to combat global warming. We could simply carry on as usual until the cosmic ray rate returns to normal. Hence the proposal has vast significance.
